Squat
The Granddaddy of all exercises, the squat separates the men from the boys. Hold the bar on your traps, keep your back as straight as possible, and squat slowly down to where your thighs are parallel to the floor. The taller you are, the more difficult this exercise is for you. Keep your feet pointed straight ahead. Don't bounce out if the bottom. Keep your tempo even and try to achieve a "pumping" motion, with no pause at the top or bottom until the last few reps. Wear a weightlifting belt. |
